Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 12, 2026
ChartSwipe ("we," "us," or "our") provides the ChartSwipe mobile application (iOS and Android) and related web experiences that connect to our servers. This policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use ChartSwipe.
Information we collect
- Account and profile. When you create an account, we collect identifiers such as your name, email address, and optional profile image. If you sign in with a third party (for example Google or X, when enabled), we receive information from that provider according to your settings and their policies.
- Authentication sessions. We issue secure sessions so you stay signed in. For web access, we may use cookies or similar technologies. For the native app, session data is stored on your device (for example via the platform secure storage) and sent with requests as needed. Session records on our servers may include technical data such as IP address and device user agent for security and abuse prevention.
- Swipe activity and saved preferences. We store your interactions with charts (such as pass, like, and super-like actions), associated symbols, and timestamps, so we can power your history, limits, rewinds, insights, and personalization. We also store preferences you set in the app (such as sector interests, risk profile, and ordering for certain lists).
- Reports and support. If you submit chart issue reports or contact support, we process the content of those messages and related account details to respond and improve the service.
- Subscriptions and purchases. When you purchase a subscription or add-on through the App Store, Google Play, or other channels we support, payment processing is handled by the platform and/or our payment partners (such as RevenueCat). We receive entitlement and transaction metadata needed to unlock features and maintain your plan, not your full payment card number. Account records may include identifiers used to link your profile to billing where applicable.
- Community and aggregate features. We compute aggregated statistics across users (for example trending symbols, sector mix, and leaderboards). Depending on the feature, other signed-in users may see limited activity information that can include display names and high-level actions. Some detailed counts may be limited by subscription tier.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve ChartSwipe and its features.
- Authenticate you, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- Personalize content (for example insights and discovery based on your activity and preferences).
- Communicate with you about the service, security, and (where allowed) product updates.
- Meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from public authorities.
How we share information
- Service providers. We use vendors for hosting, database storage, authentication, payments and subscription management, and related infrastructure. They process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
- Platform providers. Apple and Google process in-app purchases according to their terms and privacy policies.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith it is required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or to enforce our agreements.
- We do not sell your personal information in the conventional sense and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as a matter of business practice.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we process; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal data, or to object to or restrict some processing. You can manage much of your account information in the app or on the website. To delete your account or ask privacy questions, contact us at support@chartswipe.app. We will respond in line with applicable law.
International users
If you use ChartSwipe from outside the country where we operate servers, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data protection rules. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.
Children
ChartSwipe is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Where changes are material, we will provide additional notice as appropriate.
